| The Museum is to be found in one of the most important oil producing areas of the Meditteranean, the "Ligurian Riviera di Ponente", on the northern most border of the olive tree cultivation. |
The groves now cover the whole surface of the Riviera di Ponente from the coastal areas to the valleys deep inland and to the highest altitude tolerated by the plant, occupying literaly every angle and metre even the steeps slopes thanks to the typical "fasee" terracing, narrow strips of land protected by the dry stone walls.
The “Museo dell’Olivo” is open to visitors every day, except on Sundays, in the morning from 9 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and in the afternoon from 3 p.m. to 6.30 p.m.
